Dr Ruben Thanacoody PGCertEd MD FRCP FRCP(Edin) is Consultant Physician and clinical toxicologist at the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer in Clinical Pharmacology at Newcastle University and Director of the National Poisons Information Service (Newcastle unit), UK Teratology Information Service (UKTIS) and Regional Drugs and Therapeutics Centre. His research interests include adverse drug reactions and optimization of acetylcysteine treatment for paracetamol overdose.
