Richard is a consultant anaesthetist at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton. He is the lead for Regional Anaesthesia Education in Brighton and developed his interest in Peri-Operative cardiac scanning while in Australia where he completed a Post-Graduate Certificate in Clinical Ultrasound. He runs the PoCUS course for the peri-operative module for Brighton & Sussex Medical School with Dr Fludder where he is an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer and is co-founder of ‘Brighton BEAT’ – Bedside Echo Anaesthesia Teaching.
