Ashley Miller is a Consultant in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine at Shrewsbury and Telford Hospitals. His specialist interests are fluid management, haemodynamics and ultrasound. He is an elected UK Intensive Care Society (ICS) council member. As the former chair of the ICS Focused Ultrasound in Intensive Care (FUSIC) committee he has led on introducing a modular curriculum and accreditation pathway for multi-organ Intensive Care ultrasound. He is now National Lead for FUSIC haemodynamics. A former British Society of Echocardiography (BSE) committee member and examiner, he has co-authored national guidelines on assessing fluid responsiveness and haemodynamics with ultrasound. A keen contributor to FOAMed, you can find his educational material on the UK’s largest critical care educational website www.criticalcarenorthampton.com (where he is a co-editor), his youtube channel and X. @icmteaching. He really just wants to get lucky with his crypto investments so he can retire and coach Brazilian Jiu Jitsu full time.
